IHPL 10th Anniversary Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Where will the Tenth Anniversary Celebration events take place?
    The Tenth Anniversary Celebration events will take place in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22, 2009. While the exact location of events has yet to be determined, activities are expected to take place at a hotel in downtown Atlanta.

    The Tenth Anniversary Celebration events will take place in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22, 2009. While the exact location of events has yet to be determined, activities are expected to take place at a hotel in downtown Atlanta.

  3. Who can attend?
    Registration for the Tenth Anniversary Celebration is open to all who wish to attend. This includes Institute Fellows, current Scholars, colleagues of Fellows and Scholars, faculty, staff, and other friends of the Institute.

  5. How much does it cost to register?
    Registration fees for the Tenth Anniversary are as follows:

    Advance Registration: $45
    On-site Registration: $75

    Your registration fee covers your entrance to the Fellows Mixer held on the evening of Friday August 21, 2009, as well as all events on Saturday, August 22, 2009, including the Gala Dinner. Online registration is now available to accept advance registration fees. Advance registration will be available until Friday, August 7, 2009, after which time you will need to register on-site. If you are planning to attend any Tenth Anniversary events, we strongly recommend that you register in advance.  Click here to register now.

  6. What does the registration fee cover?
    Your registration fee covers your entry into all events and activities associated with the Tenth Anniversary Celebration, including the Friday evening mixer, all daytime events on Saturday, and the Gala dinner held on Saturday evening.

  7. Can I register on-site?
    Yes, you can register for the Tenth Anniversary on-site. Please note that the fee for on-site registration is a higher cost, at $75. If you are planning to attend any Tenth Anniversary events, we strongly recommend that you register in advance.

  8. I’m planning on attending the Tenth Anniversary, and I would like to make a donation to the event, as well. Will my donation defray the cost of my registration fee?
    Your donation and registration fees are separate, and donations will not be used to reduce or eliminate registration fees. If you wish to make a donation to the Tenth Anniversary, please contact Stacy Smallwood at (803) 734-2521 or at smallwoods@sc.edu. Registration fees are handled through our online registration system. Click here to register now.

  9. Can I register for certain days or events associated with the Tenth Anniversary?
    Your registration fee covers your entry into all events associated with the Tenth Anniversary. Separate registration for individual days or events is not available.

  10. Will the Institute cover my travel or accommodation expenses?
    Travel and accommodations for the Tenth Anniversary are the responsibility of the attendees. The Institute is not able to cover expenses associated with travel and accommodations in whole or part.
